Scandal: Netta is being alleging plagiarism. Eurovision-2019 in Israel is threatened once again!
Another scandal is twisting around the song contest “Eurovision”. Representatives of the Universal Music Corporation have sent the authors of the song-winner a letter alleging plagiarism. Now the lyric “TOY” has just acquired a completely different meaning.
The letter points out that Doron Medalie and Stav Beger might have used certain elements from the “Seven Nation Army” song by the White Stripes. This song is the main single of the album of famous rockers. It was released back in 2003 and takes different honorable places in the lists of the best songs.
According to the Eurovision Song Contest, the songs submitted for the competition must be completely original. Therefore, in case the charges are confirmed, the competition can be moved to another country the next year. One of the authors of the controversial song has already flown to Los Angeles to clarify the circumstances and resolve a major musical scandal.
